The media is a powerful tool of raising awareness on matters of public interest and influencing informed decision making among audiences, especially on public health. While quality health is a constitutional right, girls and young women still have a challenge in accessing service due to various barriers such as limited information, policy implementation gaps, disinformation and misinformation, myths and harmful traditional practices.
This calls for training of journalists, especially women reporters on sexual and reproductive health rights coverage. Drawn from lived or witness experiences, they will report with more impact.
