Digital technology is increasingly becoming a tool for sourcing, packaging and telling stories tailored to fit the needs of diverse audiences. Technology has also enhanced the reach and ensured interaction and instant engagement with audiences. While the same technology has transformed the newsroom, and media space, its abuse is growing to be a safety and security threat to journalists-particularly women. Against this background, WON will work with partners and stakeholders in equipping women journalists with technical skills and raising awareness among the journalists on safety, security and remedies to navigate the digital space.
